LGBTQIA+ Community

From the Stonewall Inn to San Francisco. From Key West to Portland. Our community has been the consistent recipient of ostracization, whether through legal actions or through the murder of our loved ones in the community.

For the past twenty-five years, it has been my goal to help those around me in any way possible. Now, as a counselor, I am gifted with the opportunity to serve the LGBTQIA+ community and give back in ways that were once afforded to me.

It is important to me that I provide the utmost in care and opportunities for care for our community because so many of us need help from those that better understand our unique experiences.

My areas of expertise include:

  • HIV/AIDS - those with new diagnoses and those who have lived with HIV/AIDS over time

  • Relationships - helping partners work through issues that present as challenges in keeping connected and continually growing together

  • Coming "Out" - this can be a stressful process for all of us. A knowledgeable counselor who has gone through this process can offer you valuable insights in finding your path forward through this journey.

  • Transgender Community - whether you are just starting the journey of transitioning or you are dealing with struggles post-transition, I am here to listen and help you process through situations as they arise.

  • Aging - so often, we hear about the lack of services for our aging community members. I am here to help as new journeys begin and unfold as the years continue.

It is important to me that all of my clients feel comfortable and free to be themselves while engaged in the therapeutic process. I strive to provide a:

  • gender-affirming

  • sex-positive

  • fetish/kink-affirming

  • non-phobic

environment to allow my clients to be themselves, at all times. This is not a place of judgment but one where we seek to understand and assist you through life's challenges.
